Anyone know more songs like this one?

JFC, yeah let's just spam this thread with a million youtube clips, that'll do the trick....

A7X isn't metalcore because they're just hard rock. Radio friendly rock along the lines of Black Tide and whatnot. For what they do, they're fine, but they're really not what we do here.

To that end I don't even know what to suggest. I know Vital Remains spices up their shit with the occasional Spanish guitar interlude (the track Icons of Evil has a GREAT one in the middle of it) but that's so far from A7X it's not even funny.

Fuck it, here it is.

i'm pretty sure this A7X song never made it to the radio.. but i don't know i don't listen to the radio. What it mostly consists of makes me sick.

What it consists of is bands like A7X and Bullet for my Valentine.

Also if you dislike blast beats you're WAY in the wrong place.

Some classic thrash for you, you gotta know modern metal's roots. This is the best gateway:

I wonder if people even check out half the youtube.com shit that people post. I rarely do.

That's good. But that's just part of the foundation for the world of metal, if you don't branch out you're missing out on a lot of great music.

Well since you seem focused on spanish guitar, how about the end of that song Sidewinder by your A7X?

How about Flamenco guitarists? Classical guitar? Maybe you'd enjoy learning to play those. Metal also has its roots in that, especially progressive bands like Symphony X.

I almost always do if it looks worth checking out. They're just audio clips so it's nothing to hit play and then go do shit in another window.

Np, I actually studied classical guitar for a few years in college. I played a lot of Spanish music, from Sor to Albeniz to Villa-Lobos. Now I mostly play metal, and a lot of Bach (hence my name). I can't think of too many artists who combine both styles in the way I think you want. Maybe you can be the first dedicated Spanish Metal writer. I'll keep my ears open though, it does sound interesting to hear. I think the main reason for all the reccomendations is that A7X isn't consider a "real" metal band because they get so much radio play and the song structures are more pop chart friendly. But you know, their older stuff is pretty metal really, I enjoyed a few songs off of City of Evil too, not gonna lie.

I'm pretty sure Pantera and the like are on the radio as we speak. ::D but dude the song that i posted IS old A7X. it's older than City of Evil, and definetely doesn't have a pop song structure. I study music too btw. And i'll have to get a lot better at guitar before i start writing Spanish metal haha

Are you implying a song has to have a pop-song structure to be on the radio? Any metalhead should know if they want to have radio in their car, they should have sirius xm instead of regular FM, which on certain stations play everything from A7x to Dying Fetus (rarely do they play death metal but its better than oldies and pop/rap)
