Anyone know more songs like this one?

Are you implying a song has to have a pop-song structure to be on the radio? Any metalhead should know if they want to have radio in their car, they should have sirius xm instead of regular FM, which on certain stations play everything from A7x to Dying Fetus (rarely do they play death metal but its better than oldies and pop/rap)

No. I'm not implying, i'm just responding. But even if A7X has some radio-friendly songs they're still an amazing guitar band and I would admire anyone who could tackle all of their guitar solos!

Their guitarist is pretty mediocre honestly.

These solos all shit over anything by A7X

A7X is barley metal.

I'm not sure what you mean by "stick together" were talking about guitar playing not metal music as a whole.

How many of the suggestions have you listened to in this thread?

What is really the definition of metal though? I think no matter what, i'm going to call A7X metal.

Heavy music. I don't really know much about A7X but someone in this thread said they were hard rock and I know their very popular with core kids, which usually means the music is shitty anyways.

well i'm annoyed by core kids.. all i can say is try listening to the song i started this thread with if you want. I listened to a few of your symphony x songs.

I actually kinda like Avenged Sevenfold for what they are. Some of it is catchy hard rock, and I rather listen to them then most of the core shit out there.

Dude, I recommend trying to listen to other stuff. A7X can be catchy, but it's pretty basic music that will get boring. It's like the vanilla ice cream of hard rock/metal, gotta at least give the pistachio a try.

There is a flamenco / metal fusion band called Flametal, but their quality is pretty hit or miss. Mostly miss, actually. In fact, I couldn't even find one on youtube that I thought was worth posting in this thread because, despite what their name implies, their implementation of flamenco into metal is actually quite poor, so I'll post something better, instead.

Ojos de Brujo - Zambra
They're not a metal band, they're a real flamenco band, and they're really good.

Hacride - Zambra
This is a metal cover of the previous song.

Ashik - Czardsz
This is a non-metal band playing a gypsy folk song.

Ashik - Szombathely Jig
Another gypsy song that sounds like it could be metal.

Kalmah - Kill the Idealist
This is not flamenco inspired, but I think the melody is a pretty good example of how the gypsy / flamenco influence could be applied to metal. The previous two songs by Ashik reminded me of this metal band when I first heard them.

Old Man's Child - Black Seeds on Virgin Soil
The intro to this song features Spanish-style guitar.

Exmortus - Axes of War
This is not related at all, I just felt like posting it. The whole song is basically a bad-ass guitar solo.

EDIT: Also, you can check out the Van Helsing Soundtrack. Tracks 04 and 08 have Spanish guitar in them.
