Are there any albums you consider "perfect?"

Woods of Ypres-Against The Seasons....
Woods of Ypres-Pursuit of The Sun and Allure of the Earth
(Yes I absolutly love Woods of Ypres)

I like hardcore.

Pr0n that is.

I once again refer everybody to Necroticism by Carcass, which is a flawless gem sparkling in the poo-poo.

For me, it's Maiden's 'The Number of the Beast.' Not much wrong with this release. Each track smacks you upside the head like a sledgehammer. Especially 'Hallowed Be Thy Name.'

Yeah I guess all Extreme Metal should be instrumental huh...

Some bands I feel that way about. Awesome musical work then the vocals just piss over all of it.

the perfect albums for me would be

Death - Symbolic
Golem - Dreamweaver

Naglfar - Vittra
Disarmonia Mundi - Fragments of D-Generation
Rigor Mortis - S/T
November's Doom - The knowing

La Masquerade Infernale Arcturus
Versus The World Amon Amarth
Indefinite Soul Extension Unmoored

The most perfect albums:
Paradise Lost-Gothic
The Gathering-Always

Great albums indeed. I never see anyone ever mention 'always'.

lost what I was living for... live no longer

"Gothic" is OK, but the gem in the crown of Paradise Lost must surely be "Shades of God".

Utter belligerance and depression set to music. Awesome stuff.

For a shorter, inferior version, try "Brave Murder Day"

Shades of God is great but I prefere Icon & Draconian Times, draconian times being the last great paradise lost.

Icon is good, but Draconian times isn't the last great Paradise Lost - it's the last "OK" Paradise Lost.

Icon was their last really good effort.

Widow is a top track!

Heh

For those debating on the merits of the word perfect, as anyone who has even a passing grasp of literacy could see it quite clearly says in the thread title "are there any albums YOU CONSIDER perfect"

Albums that I consider flawless include

Blind Guardian- Nightfall in Middle Earth (Not a weak song amongst them and whilst there is a little filler it adds to the album)

Orphaned Land- Mabool (What a mighty album)
