Are you a closet Christian or [insert any other religion]?

I dunno..

Mummification would be cool and unique... but then again.. it might be cool to have my corpse taken to a taxidermist.. i'd love to be a pain in the ass to all my relatives my forcing them to vacuum and dust me :D

I'm not sure how I want to be buried either. Regardless of which way you go, you should get the will done ASAP.

I know, I know....I'm kicking myself for not having a will made yet. I will def get to this in the next couple of weeks now that I'm at home (and on vacation).

Do you find it odd that non religious people end up:

- getting married in a church

I have no faith, yet I'd have absolutely no problems getting married in a church. I'm not the kind of athiest that is so obsessed with religion that I'd let the connotations of the building disguise its beauty. At least in the UK, most of the churches are beautiful buildings, and I'd just as happily be married in one as any other beautiful surroundings.

It's probably a bit different in the US, with the fact that there are no churches that are much over 200 years old, let alone 1000. Other than that I agree with what you say ;)

I hear what you're saying, but aesthetics of the building aside, if you get married in a church you WILL be married by a priest and the 'sermon' will be entirely christian based, announcing your marriage as acceptable only under the eyes of Jesus Christ your lord blah blah.

No, you can ask for special permission to have a non-religious ceremony (also not given by the priest) in a chuch. It is very rarely refused I believe, it's what my parents did.

Ah, I never knew that....still, if it's just for olden architecture, it could be just as cool in an old Scottish castle or something.

Make sure you guys create living wills as well. It's surprisingly not very technical. They just give you a print out and you check off some boxes.

have not done any of the wills yet; on our list for quite some time. My wife grew up in a Penecostal family and her father pastored a church for some time during her life. I consider myself to be a believer. The decision to believe or not believe is your own choice. Upbringing and other influences have an impact on your decision; this was touched on in a recent class I took going for my undergrad; its called enculturation. Things that are acceptable to you or I may not be to the next fellow.

Anyone See movie Constantine? This sounds like the character being shown on film to me.

(Matthew 7:22 KJV+) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

(Matthew 7:23 KJV+) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
