Dunno if it's been mentioned yet... but apparently that Daniel Spillane dude was on radio yesterday and mentioned prog as a big influence, mainly Dream Theater and Kings X

I wonder what the chances are they we may get a song before the end of the series!

Dan hands down last night.
He has the best voice out of any idol ever in my opinion.

The rest are shocking. Don't like any of them. I serisouly doubt that I would watch it if Dan got the boot.

No... Daniel likes Dream Theater (If that is true). They both have good voices, but Daniel fuckin sucked on 'I Feel Good' last night when he should have nicked it hard. He does have a good rock voice though.

Dan Englund is fucking awesome. Has an amazong rock voice... and he plays instruments as well. He would do real well in the rock/john buttler mould I think.

He sang Unchained Melody last night which isn't an easy song. Nailed it. So refreshing to see someone like him as the favorite. He is totally un-pop in both voice and appearence.

Last year on their 60s show I was surprised that nobody did a Beatles song... but then a few weeks later they had a Beatles show, so it all made sense to me.

So, one can safely assume that there will be a Beatles show this year... or maybe nobody wanted to do a Beatles song.

He's popular with the girls, but he has a masculine voice, so it's OK for me to like him.

And yes, he's one of the only decent ones now. Milly was my early favourite but she was AWFUL last night. Shocking. Daniel should have nailed the James Brown song but stuffed up big time. Hopefully he doesn't go though. Kate's OK. Roxane would be good if it wasn't for that tiny voice.
