Beer

Sooooo, I've had some beers. I could comment on some of them I suppose. Let's see.

Reden is a Polish craft brewery and it's very solid. I've had 5 of their beers so far and their continuously hopped IPA was really fine. Their wheat beers also very solid. Sort of reminds me of Czech craft brewery Permon. Their beers form beautiful heads, as you can see on the pictures.

To check out some German beers I tried Aecht for their famous rauchbiers. They smell like smoked bacon and the weizen one smells and tastes like bananas and bacon together, which I understand is not a thing for everyone but I enjoyed it. It's very specific and probably not something I could drink all the time but they were a nice experience.

The one with the blue label is lighter.

I finally moved to some US beers. The selection in here is quite limited and the imported beers are expensive as fuck, but I did try some already. First of all Sierra Nevada stout which was amazing and so far the best stout I have tasted. All desired smells and tastes incredibly distinct and quite simply without any flaws as far as I can tell.

I tried some other stouts. This one is czech, it's an imperial stout but it just doesn't cut it the way the SN one does. USA 1 - Czech Republic 0.

I'm not saying this was bad, not at all.

I had some Base Camp beers and I was absolutely amazed by both. If the beers were cheaper I would be all over them. The IPA had an incredible smell and the helles lager was so refreshing. No flaws on either.

The Coronado Brewing Company Islander IPA was amazing, a little less fruity and more grassy/piney.

Stadin Panimo is a Finnish brewery in Helsinki, they're very American-styled, with an eagle on the cans and shit, and they have stuff like "American lager". All the beers I've had, about six different beers, were really good except for the saison which I didn't like.

Some rather obscure czech pils. A fine one from what I remember.

Antoš is a czech brewery that mostly disappointed me but this dark IPA was good and quite strong. I'd say it was strong enough to hide some undesirable aspects of their lighter beers. It will not become my favorite brewery though.

Břevnov monastery brewery has an epic logo and this is their IPA. It wasn't very fresh but that's probably the venue's issue. Yesterday I had a porter by them and it was pretty good. It got me pretty drunk too.

Some amber lager from a czech brewery Cvíkov. It was quite meh.

Primátor does a very solid weizen. Some of their beers are weird and their IPA is weak, but I've come to a conclusion that weizen is kinda harder to fuck up in comparison to other styles. Maybe it's just me.

I don't remember the taste of this but it has a pretty metal label.

Had some Hoegaarden yesterday at some party.

This is a stout aged with oak flakes or something, the smell on that was very significant and it was a nice change. I loved it.

Lobeč is a czech brewery that I've been neglecting because of some bad experience ages ago but this IPA was alright.

That rauchbier is on point.

The pictured beer is another Reden beer from Poland. Master of Grains. It combines a a shitload of different grains like wheat, oat, rye, spelta, barley, and rice. The results is sort of weird lager. Nice experiment, it's nice to try to distinguish the tastes of all the grains.

This is Lobeč Imperial Stout. I was a little disappointed as I don't think it has enough flavor and doesn't hide the higher voltage too well.

Reden sweet stout, I enjoyed this one.

And finally a chilli beer. I've already had Permon's Habaner IPA and this I thought was hotter. The IPA smell was very nice.
