Alpha King is a borderline IPA. It does bear some similarities to Sierra Nevada PA, but with lots more hops. Pale ale is not one of my favorite styles, but I'm sure this one is one of the better ones.

I tend to avoid a lot of Three Floyd's beers due to them being overpriced and overhyped. To pay $11 for a sixer of local beer is silly. The bombers start at $7.50, and I've seen them up near $15 for some.

Tonight I drank a New Holland Pilgrim's Dole Wheatwine. Awesome. Emphasis on light fruit flavors with all the thick malty goodness of a barleywine.

I had a quart of Mississipi Mudd the other day. It was pretty damn good. I also had two Dirty Ho's... It was an interesting mixture of two beers, I can't remember the names of them.

It would have been Hoegaarden and something else, maybe Guinness. It's also pretty common to mix lambics with Hoegaarden.

^What beers would Hoegaarden taste good mixed with? I love Hoegaarden but never thought of mixing it with anything. Actually i've never tried "mixed" beers besides Black n' Tans which suck ass.

let me know how that don de dieu is. and im really surprised you got the reverend out there in jersey. its such an awesome brew. i need to buy more of it

recently ive had the allagash tripel and harvest moon. the allagash is one of the best beers ive had in the style. the harvest moon was such a disappointment. it lacks any sort of flavor

Cook-ta: How is that Trois Pistoles? I've heard good things about it.

Went to a beer and whisky fair yesterday, it was great. I tried alot of american imports that are pretty impossible to find in Sweden otherwise, some are probably pretty standard for you guys but for me it was really nice to try them.

Also tasted lots of others from my friends, but I don't remember every beer they tried. It was a great evening anyway! Got a free beer glass and bought two Slottskällan Beer Glasses. One of my favorite Swedish breweries. If you get hands on something from them, try it out. Especially their Imperial Stout! :>

I've found that paying a little bit extra than the cheapest beer enhances the experience, even if you're just trying to get drunk.
