Well, when you have been in the game for over 20 years, chances are you will have gone to a lot of good gigs!

The first that come to mind are Opeth/Paradise Lost and 1349/Zyklon/Enslaved.

Reverend Bizarre's last gig ever was the best I have been too. They played two sets, first only songs they never played live before like Strange Horizon and Dunkelheit. After that they went up again later (after chatting around and drinking beers with the crowd) and played the whole In the Rectory from start to the end. Cirith Ungol as the closing song was probably the highlight!

The only REAL concert I've seen in Blind Guardian, but I've been to lots of local venues showcasing the underground scene in the greater L.A. area. The Blind Guardian concert wipes the floor with all of them, though, especially since it had a real mosh pit.

Heaven & Hell,Down, and Megadeth in Montreal. Loudest show I have seen and Tony Iommi was basically a living god. Megadeth and Down were also really solid and this was one of the better shows because shows usually suck.

Opeth at Saratoga Winners. Opeth is one of the few bands that was really loud and pulled off decent sound at this place and somehow managed to be ten times heavier and loud than bigger death metal acts who have played and other extreme bands. Tight as fuck.
