Eucharist-A Velvet Creation, hands down
Sentenced-North from Here would be my second choice.

I'm not sure whether Cadaver's In Pains can be considered melodic in the sense the above albums are, but if it is, it easily trumps all.

hmmm, I was wondering why I haven't heard of Eucharist before (Since I was a huge MeloDeath fan a few years ago), gave them a LastFM 'similar' search, and found that most of the 'similar' stuff is on the fruity metalcore side of things (e.g., Nightrage, Darkane, The Duskfall, Arch Enemy, Mercenary, Scar Symmetry, Soilwork)

are they of the "Soundtrack to Your Escape" In Flames, and "Catch 22" Hypocrisy era style (two other bands on their similar list)?

I posted a link in another thread of this forum to a site where you can legally download all of their stuff free of charge.
I think all of their material has gone out of print again, since I was asking at the store the other day and they said, it's not likely that their debut album, which I ordered will ever arrive.
Anyway, here's the link to that site

No. Their first album is excellent, true Melodic Death Metal. You know, the style that existed before the huge surge of popularity that led to the disaster known as the Gothenburg style (which absolutely ruined Melodic Death Metal). A Velvet Creation can be likened to The Red in the Sky is Ours.

You should be able to find them both on ebay relatively cheap. I know Mirrorworlds is still very easy to find. I've been told by tasteful people that it fares pretty poorly in comparison to the debut, can anyone share an opinion on the album?
