Best Metal Band Ever?

Close call between the mechanix and the 4 horsemen. I would go with the mechanix cause i like the overal style of killing is my bussiness and it fits nicely with the rest of the album. the 4 horsemen also fits the album but i like the style of killing is my bussines better. The only exception could be the bass solo but i dont consider that metallica i consider it cliff burton and i still think it would have been much better in guitar not on bass.

And sometimes i do not have an opinion on things mind you, if i had i would have over 2000 posts already, but i do in this particular case.

You like that awful Mechanix lyrics???? I really appreciated Jaymz's work on Horsemen.. and I still consider Jaymz a great lyricist.. while Mustaine's NOT! There's an extra guitar riff on Horsemen too.. a slow part.. Jaymz's work as well..

i do not like the extra riff the slow one. Personal taste. I hate both lyrics and never bother to read either bands lyrics more than once. Lyrics are not a factor to me

I couldn't disagree more. Metallica lyrics are rather bland, Mustaine's after Peace Sells are pretty good and meaningful...

Fade to Black- don't read too much into it; it's about a stolen amp
Escape- trivial
MOP- great song; but lyrics?
Sanitrium- what's this song about? Great music again, but lyrix
Lepper Messiah-trivial
And Justice for All- Good lyrics
Eye- Good lyrics too
Frayed ends- decent
One- good lyrics; brilliant music
Dyers Eve- Good lyrics; my faves when I was 15 or so.

You missed some of the better ones imo My Friend of Misery, Outlaw Torn, Low Man's Lyric... and possibly Nothing Else Matters as the lyrics complement the music so well. Other than that Metallica is all about the music; lyrics neved did much for me (just like Maiden btw)

On the other hand, Mustaine's are much more heartfelt, and meaningful. The guy is going thru pain, and that surely transcends on the lyrical level.

Out of those you mentioned: Fade to Black is decent. It was still written about an amp, and by a twist pf serendipity they relate to other dark feelings. I doubt it Jaymz meant that when he wrote it. I've met the guy; if he didn't play for Metallica he'd be a truck driver.

Classics like Powerslave, 7th son of a 7th son, The X Factor and Peice of Mind should not be ignored for ass-whipe trash like Master of Puppets..

I dunno why people like Metallica! Their music totally sucks. There arent any melodies, no progression, no quality recording, cheap vocals\drums\guitars, no creative lyrics, no technicallity, no musical depth, no nothing!. I dont know why people say Metallica sold-out, WHO CARES?! Their music sucks anyway. To be honest I prefer sell-out Metallican songs like "No Leaf Clover" over their cheap-ass so-called "Glory Days" songs like The four Horseman. So they have a few good songs (For whom the Bell Tolls, One) that doesnt cover for all the shit theyve written throughout the years.

They havent created a new metal style or anything! The Pioneers of Thrash Metal are actually Accept and Venom who came out in the late 70s! Even Metallicas riffs (The only thing their musics about) Suck!

I used to love Metallica that is why you can tell, thats why i know their career, thats why i know most of the goddamn songs. But i say this without feeling guilty i was 10 years old when it all started and it was better than most of the stuff other 10 year olds liked ( mainly Rap ). But i just think is the single most overrated band in the world and the single most patetic lazy band in the present they greed is something that you can see behind their agenda from day one but they are too old to hide it anymore.
