Oh yea the best metal bands are In Flames, Opeth, Children Of Bodom, Burzum, Emperor, Bathory, Necrophagist, Sonata Arctica, Nevermore, Moonspell, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Scar Symmetry, Testament, and my list could go on but I don't feel like it.

At a push I'd call Slipknot Death Metal, it's definetly metal, slightly too precise to be Metalcore, not really heavy enought to be death metal or tuneful enough for melodic death metal. It's just metal, plain and simple.

There is nothing metal about SLIPKNOT. Give me a fucking break.
