Best NON-Metal Albums of 2010

ok, ok, the new Arcade Fire, 3 tracks in is already pretty awesome. I never heard this band but gave it a spin considering they popped up #1 on every chart.
something magical in the lyrics more than anything.

that new ROME is great too, although they remind me of that freaking puppet play that dude wrote in Forgetting Sarah Marshall ... that and Serge Geinsbourg.
good stuff though :loco:

Well, seriously mate, if you're enjoying that, you need to check out their back catalogue. Neon Bible and Funeral are both immensely good albums.

This has become their anthem, and for good reason:

Nevermind the ranga.

Amazing music.

New ARCADE FIRE = very good, but they probably coulda dropped 3-4 tracks and had a much stronger album. The disco song is my favorite.

New SUFJAN STEVENS = came out of fucking nowhere, and is actually very very good. A 60 minute "EP".... Reverend Bizarre inspiration? Also, his vocals are much less wimpy this time around. One of the songs has a ten-minute guitar solo.

Agree entirely. I have been playing this non-stop for the last week. They coulda dropped songs, but in these tough economic times people are looking for value for money, y'no?

Disco song? Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains), yeah? If so, this is also my favourite. As well as Modern Man, Rococo, Month of May, City With No Children, We Used to Wait... yeah man, I love the whole album. I think it may have taken over This is Happening for AOTY thus far...

..although I am currently listening to Coyote for the first time :worship:
