These threads would always be a lot more interesting if there were far fewer albums listed in a big...erm...fucking list, and had a bit more commentary on why you thought they were so good.
Anyway, my big list is restricted to three albums, mostly because that's all my elderly alzheimers addled brain can handle.
1) Primoridial - To The Nameless Dead - Just because it's such an epic, absorbing listen AND it's a real grower. I like growers. I thought it was kind of average upon first listen, but now I prefer it to their previous efforts.
2) Impaled - The Last Gasp - In which I finally manage to forgive them for allowing ultra-douchebag Billy Anderson anywhere near their production on the horrifically flawed Death After Life and finally produce an album that's better than Mondo Medicale. Perhaps the best successor so far to the Necroticism sound ?
3) Pale Divine - Cemetary Earth - ...because Pentagram worship has never sounded quite so retroid or warm and fuzzy. Perfect album to drive long journeys to - and with some absolutely shredding guitar work to boot.
