Best of the year so far...

Now I'm thinking that there may be more than one Brainstorm out there. Either that, or they've taken a massive change of directions somewhere. Which album has the song with the lyrics that go

"I believe in the boogie,
but the boogie don't believe in me"

and

"Disco guy
You'll be sorry if you pass me by
I've got what you need
Oh, I won't tell you no lie"

?

Well, like DravenMist, I have to say Psycroptic's "Scepter Of The Ancients" even though I've only had it for a couple of weeks, it has already proven to be one of the best Aussie albums I have.

Also.....
The Haunted - One Kill Wonder, picked this up a few weeks before the gig, turned out to be a good move as it meant I knew most of the new tunes, and to me, this would have to be their best album yet, full of modern thrashy goodness.

Strapping Young Lad - Strapping Young Lad, what more can I say, its Devy at his angriest, for some reason a lot of people didn't like this, but I still believe it is definitly up there.

Dying Fetus - Stop At Nothing, truely an AWESOME album, especially considering it had to follow up Destroy The Opposition, AND the fact that all but John Gallagher are new to the band, for some great death/grind, WITHOUT the gory lyrics, pick this album up!

well, thats all I can really think of so far, but as to albums I'm looking forward to, basically only Morbid Angel's - Heretic, really appeals to me....

Haven't really heard much from 2003. Can't afford to buy new releases at the moment!

Best of the year so far though I think is Harem Scarem - The Early Years. Their first album is the best AOR album ever and this stuff sounds pretty much the same (and some of the songs are demo versions of songs off the debut).

And I must buy the new Britny Fox when I can afford it! Sounds like it will be good!

Ones I am most looking forward to that are coming out either later this year or sometime in the near future...

Vinnie Vincent Invasion
Pink Cream 69
Talon
Vanishing Point
TNT (if its in the style of the '80s albums)

And I'm not sure if/when these are actually gonna happen but Warrant and Lizzy Borden keep talking about new albums coming out... when when when!!! Warrant have sucked since the mid-90s but their new album is gonna be glam apparently. And Lizzy Borden haven't released a bad album yet, their most recent one ruled.
