Best Part of Any Opeth Song?

Personally i get weak when i hear the acoustic to electric ensemble in White Cluster at 5:06 till 6:16 but the solo that follows is a different story....I also enjoy the solo-esque part in For Absent Friends

The outro of Dirge for november takes me somewhere else

SHE, LAUGHING AND WEEPING AT ONCE: TAKE ME AWAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

enough said.

By the way, I'm out of the loop: who the fuck is the crazy dancing lady?

Other favourite parts of Opeth songs:
* The inclusion of the Jack Frober character into Moonlapse Vertigo is a mark of extremely good writing. I think Mikael is actually the reincarnation of Charles Dickens. Think about it: they both are writers (!!!!!), and they both prefer badminton over other raquet-related sports (!!!!!!).

* I particularly enjoy the sound of Mikael's sigh on The Moor. Also, if you turn up the treble really really high on the right channel at about 4:56 in Under the weeping Moon, you can hear intestinal movements! I reckon it's Peterer's wife!!!! Yeah, she's hot!!!!! and rulez lol!!!!1111

ooo...that one part in Karma where he goes "you have nothing more to find, you have nothing more to lose" and then does this acoustic thing where its like, Flow wow wow wowwwww...that parts great

Yeah, i think that part got me into Karma singlehandedly. I dont know what my favorite would be but I cant get enough of the acoustic passage in the middle of The Night and the Silent Water, where he goes "Am i like them, those mourn and turn away, those who would give anything to see you again?"

i like the beginning of "when" and i think whole "to bid u farewell", that's one of my favourite songs.
and the ending of "black rose immortal" is very good too, it could be even longer..

I'm not saying its the best, but the 3:14 part in Leper Affinity that breaks into the cool ride pattern and stuff, pure kick assage.

Alright, my favorite parts:

In Mist She Was Standing

With anger the wind blew
Giving wings to my stallion

That riff is so badass.

IN MIST, ENROBED THE TWIIIIIIILIIIIIIIIIIIGHT
she was standing....

That part is so powerful.

The Night And The Silent Water

Am I like them?
Those who mourn and turn away
Those who would give anything to see you again
If only for another second

Such a heartbreaking part. Then, later in the song, the acoustic part that begins the buildup to: 'You... sleep... in... the... night... yet... the... night... and... the... silent... water... still... so dark....' Yeah, I love this song.

Nectar

I swear, I will always love you...

The guitars there are weeping, I love it.

Black Rose Immortal

I have kept it...
Black rose immortal

I love everything about that part. And the ending to this song is awesome, too, with that scream he does.

April Ethereal

AND SHE WAS SWATHED IN SOOOOOOORROOOOOOOOOOOW

SHE, LAUGHING AND WEEPING AT ONCE: 'TAKE ME AWAAAAAAAAAAY'

No need for an explanation.

The Amen Corner

The bond we never spoke of, once stark and enticing, now slowly smouldering to dust...

Demon Of The Fall

The whole song, but especially when the clean vocals enter.

Karma

Aaaaaaaaaaaah
Then the guitars and drums kick back in, but slower, for the whole, 'I have goen away...' part. That's one of my favorite parts in any song, ever. I catch my breath when I hear it.

The cold season drift over the land....

I love those guitars there, I never really appreciated them fully until recently.

And finally:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGHHHRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH... until the song ends. m~_~m That part's just about as powerful as the clean, 'Ahhh' at the beginning.

The intro to Amen Corner is damn cool. Also have to go with Gunhaver on The Twilight Is My Robe. The acoustic passages, the shifts between melody and chugging are fecking great. I especially like the part (9:03-:55) where he says:

"Under your comand I will obey. In my vision you are the embodiment of pure freedom, but through my eyes you are made of stone."

I love the part at 7:00 on Serenity Painted Death, 5:05 part of Face of Melinda, basically all the clean vocals of Still Life are amazing. My finger is constantly on the rewind button.

Fecking great part. I like the line after too, the whole lead up to When is brilliant. Damn now I have to go listen to April Ethereal again.
