Black Metal, Part II

For the same reason I'm willing to accept that Nevermore's Godless Endeavor is really good - yet I don't like it, I'll accept that Wigrid is really shit - yet I do like it.

Confusion ftw.

"In the Nightside Eclipse" sounds sad/sorrowful?

Anyways

-Been said but Borknager
-Arcturus
-Some of Ensiferum (Viking Black)
-Ulver
-Dimmu Borgir (Stormblast, forgive me for bringing it up)
-Peccatum (Not really Black Metal but more Avante-Garde)
-Burzum
-Vintersorg

Burzum
Obscurcis Romancia
Thorns of Ivy
Winter of Sin
Dark Fortress
Draconian order
Martyrium

Which Dusk? There's like 500. The Hungarian one (at least their latest) is quite good.

* amortis - summoned from astral fires (my fave sympho black of all time)
* dawn - slaughtersun - crown of the triarchy (has some death elements but this is a pretty morbid album)
* gernotshagen - wintermythen (they claim they're dark metal, but i'd say more black)

get the first in the woods... album heart of the ages it's sweet as hell and it's about walking through forests and shit, so it's sorrowful. it's also one of the best bm albums to come out of norway in the 90s imo.

either that or some forgotten woods who are like an inept version of early REM covering burzum and honestly i don't know why i like them, but they're pretty great.

That's a pretty good description.

"The Curse of Mankind" is severely underrated, and they reformed for a new album to come out soon

Are In the Woods and Forgotten Woods fairly unknown bands? I searched for them on DC++ several times because I want to hear them---nothing comes up. Bah.
