I don't mind traditional black metal, but most of those bands had no idea how to structure a song. All of their songs are just screeching and playing super fast on a heavily distorted guitar. Which is fine, But bands like emperor and dragon lord are just so much better, kekht arakh as well.

Anyone know black metal bands who play in D standard fairly regularly? My Floyd Rose is set up in D. I know Immortal did on their last two with Abbath (seems like at least some of SOND and ASF), and I think some of Demonaz's eponymous side project may be. I'm cool with the thrashier/death metal-tinged side of things.
