Black Metal.

Reminds me that I still need that Caladan Brood album along with With Doom We Come by Summoning. The latter mostly for completionist purposes.

Listening to a classic right now, Dissection's The Somberlain.
More new blood!

Giving Deathspell after SMRC another chance. Listened to Fas - Ite, Maledicti, In Ignem Aeternum and Paracletus tonight and I think, after 20 years, I can finally forgive DsO for abandoning raw black metal. Enjoyed both a lot, especially Paracletus. Doubt I'll ever prefer any of it to Inquisitors of Satan or Manifestations 2001 but I'll buy both and give them proper listens. Any opinions on their latest three albums or any of the EPs?

The only DSO release I listened to was that one spilt with Moonblood? If I'm not mistaken? I remember truly enjoying it and thinking that I should check out their other releases. My friend however is a worshiper of DSO and keeps sending me sometimes different releases from after their "true" black metal era, can't say that I'm a fan.

Yeah fair enough. I recommend checking out the split with Clandestine Blaze and Inquisitors of Satan if you liked the split with Moonblood. That era is some of my favourite black metal in general.

I did listen to some releases from Clandestine Blaze's discography, namely Deliverers of Faith and Tranquility of Death. The split with DSO sure sounds promising. I discovered CB through that compilation called A Contre-Temps. Excellent stuff.
