I enjoy black metal when it's done right. Many of these Darkthrone rip off bands like Judas Iscariot are damn annoying though. I prefer bands like Astriaal, Dawn (SWE), Mork Gryning, Marduk, Immortal, Emperor, and my personal favourite, Enslaved.

Oh, and a question for Dionysos. Necromantia, is that the band that uses two distorted basses instead of guitars?

I definitely enjoy some Black Metal from time to time, some faves are:

- Emperor (the best ever of course)
- Old Man's Child (esp. Ill-natured...)
- Dimmu Borgir
- Cradle Of Filth (whatever they are, they've released some great records)
- Immortal are pretty cool
- Marduk (panzer division)
- Dark Funeral (older stuff, though I have the new one too)
- Mork Gryning (not totally Black, but a great band)
- Obtained Enslavement ("Witchcraft")
- Isvind ("Dark Waters Stir" + 7" EP, anyone remember them?)

And probably some more that I can't recall right now.

I also like stuff by Tulus, Rotting Christ, Enslaved, Marduk, Immortal, Allegiance and others, although I wouldn't say they're among my favorite black metal bands.
