OK, on "Before the Aeons Came" Nergal uses just his BM vocals, certainly a vestige of their earlier days, and you can hear that in the instrumentation as well. But the rest of the album, musically, is straight death metal.

Yeah.
The Apostasy has more black metal elements in the music.

I guess you could also include Destroyer 666. I hear absolutely no thrash at all in their sound (you can't get much further away from thrash stylistically in terms of the guitar playing technique), so either they are blackened death or just black metal.
