Car Thread

oh shit, the "regal" badge on the side confused me. Regals are the most popular Buick models out here.

Don't care much for mopar vehicles outside of a few models. I would take a 1970 Buick GSX over any Dart, except maybe the '72 Dart.

... yeah, that's definitely too much. Or maybe i just dont now how much used hondas go for nowadays. But i know you can find 2012 Hyundai Sonatas and Kia Optimas with half the mileage for the same price as that car, or even less. I'd personally go for a 2010-13 Impala(im staying in the same mid-sized class), which you can again find newer for cheaper
Ok so after doing some research and going through several car sales sites and bluebook, there is no way you're getting a 2012 Sonata or Optima for 9000 with only 45000 miles on it. With 65000 miles they're going for close to 11, and at 90000 they go for 8-9000 same as the Honda

Can anyone pinpoint a stock newer model car(2014+), any body, with a more angular and boxy look like the beasts of old? I was just contemplating and the closest I can think of are the dodge chargers. Everything else looks more futuristic nowadays, with softer edges. Some of the jeeps I guess.

...the Dodge Challenger

dude, there's a 2013 Kia Optima with 56k miles going for $10,900 right now in glendale, theres a 2012 with 70k in Montclair going for $7,700. There's a 2011 with 84k on it going for $9,950 in Riverside.

Hm I see. Those are exceptions, it's rare to see them for that price with those miles, I wonder if they have problems

Edit: eh ok I see what you're saying, it's a 4 cyl and the lowest priced sedan so it makes sense

I still prefer the Honda Accord V6 with 90k to be honest

That's pretty baaaaaad man. I hope some rich fucks buy all their stock so they'll expand their lineup. Definitely an underdog company I wouldn't mind seeing flourish, preferably by the time my honda is paid off, and preferably to such a level I can afford one.

Like don't get me wrong, I know this shit is out there and I know there's always mods, but I'm more curious about big name brand companies releasing ready to drive modern cars with a classic look. Straight up I don't think it happens, and idk if it's purely the new aesthetic or an aerodynamics thing or even a crash hazard over the more angular edges. But it's sad and lame.

as far as performance(stock) goes those big couches on wheels cant really compete with the muscle cars of today. Its the same reason why a stock Challenger cant beat a stock Camaro or a Mustang, too big and heavy with shitty handling. But yeah some people buy those cars for looks, which is why there are shitty V6 Challengers littered all over the place.

Dodge is also trying to bring back the Barracuda. I saw a few concept pics last year, and it looked pretty bad ass.

edit: Oh and on a side not, i annihilated a BMW M6 today. I think it was a 2009-10 model. I smile everytime a bmw pulls up next to me.

Saw a pretty cool van today actually:

2 cylinders of might and power to push you along the dream path to freedom, custom rear lights and tricolour blue stripes for at least an extra 3 horsepower. Jacked up at the rear for some reason, probably extra coolness.

... this track was at one time dominated by $200-300k+ "super cars" until Chevy(the Corvette Z06) and Dodge(Viper ACR) started showing up. Now you have a fucking Camaro that has cracked the top 15 lap times set at that track. I love it.

So basically, leaving my job means also leaving the company car. And I kinda liked my company car.

Seems like I should buy a car next spring. I was looking at some Škodas and WV Polo maybe. Used obvs, I'm a poor person.
