Agree with you there, it does annoy me when people from any religion try and 'convert' you. I consider myself as a christian but by no means do i ever condemn or look down upon people who arent christian, or who are indeed satan worshippers. I think believe what you want but dont bag people for what they believe in.

The Christian ideology is if you don't believe in Jesus you go to hell. Christians don't want you to go to hell. So think of it this way if they weren't trying to convert somebody they probably don't like 'em that much.

Also people are so ignorant. Don't knock something unless you know something about it.

To be honest, in the west, you get indoctrinated with the religion from birth anyway, so I doubt he has to read the bible to hate christianity. To be honest, what does the bible have to do with modern christianity anyway? I don't see many women being stoned for wearing a hat on the sabbath (more's the pity).

I haven't read the Koran, and yet I know the espousal of dark ages bullshit by men in pyjamas in my country, planting bombs on public transport and demanding that this contry is muslim, makes me want to vote for George W Bush.

I've read the Koran and I can say that it's the "fundamentalists" and terrorists who are closest to actual Islam then the westernized nice liberal Muslims.

I find it annoying that any criticism of Christianity, no matter how intelligently presented and valid, is countered with "When is the last time you read the bible?". I spent the first 16 years of my life reading the fucking bible, so just because I didn't read it this morning over breakfast that doesn't mean my criticisms of Christendom are unfounded.
That said, my main problem with Christianity is the policy of universal conversion. Those that consider themselves missionaries feel they are helping people, but they are rather interfering with their lives and insulting their cultural beliefs and values. I have a problem with that.

Passage Matthew 24:14:

Those passages basically state that the ultimate goal of Christianity is universal, world-wide conversion.
The intent of the missionaries isn't necessarily malicious, but the subjugation of of other cultures is harmful.
