All I've been saying is that your "information" which you state as fact is not always so rock solid. There are many variables that can affect the outcome for the age of the earth and I think http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/re1/chapter8.asp gives a decent look at the kind of assumptuous scientific "research" that leads to billions of years.

Well dude if you want to argue against virtually every form of science in the world (geology, paleantology, biology, genetics, astronomy) all of which are convinced that the world and it's life forms are vastly older than a literal reading of Genesis allows... then go ahead. Even if our current dating methods are innacurate it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the fossil record had to have been laid down over vast amounts of time and that there is a general progression through it's various layers of lifeforms that existed over time. Furthermore it is quite obvious that the billions upon billions of life forms in the fossil record and living today could not have fit onto Noah's ark and spread across the earth some 5,000 years ago (many animals which of course are so adapted to their environment that they can't actually leave it let alone stay in an compartment on Noah's ark for days on end). Not only that but there is simply way to much genetic diversity in the human race to have accumlated in just 5,000 years or so... indeed shorter since we know from surviving historical records that our current variety of human races has been around for at least that long.
Anyway I won't argue anymore and piss you off or detract this thread any longer.

The lameness factor goes beyond music for entertainment. The church I attend every Sunday is one of the few left that has good taste in sacred music. We do Gregorian chants and sing baroque and classical hymns while the organist (my father) plays Bach and Handel and the choir likewise.

Most churches these days, regardless of denomination (though Catholics tend to have better tastes) have literally sold out to gain more of the faithful by putting out more contemporary, upbeat, accessible, almost sing-songy hymns and liturgical responses.

Gregorian chant:kickass:

Arguing over God's validity by using Biblical quotes is just wrong. Again The Lord of the Rings is a good example. "But it's true, Frodo does turn invisible it says on page XX". Ah, evidence!
We weren't arguing over God's validity. We were discussing the Bible's validity. And if you are discussing whether the Bible is valid... doesn't it make sense to actually quote and discuss (GASP!) the Bible?!!

Satan put those fossils there to test our faith in God

Same shit.
If god is valid the bible is valid and if the bible is valid god is valid. None are.

It's true satan really did. He wanted scientists and christians to waste time trying to prove and disaprove nothing for eternity.

Metal is about power, self-esteem, and a strong mind.
Why mar such a beautiful artform with the symbol for self-strangulation?
