The first two Iron Maiden albums are my least favorite. How's that for controversial? My favorite is Powerslave.

Systematic Chaos isn't Dream theaters finest but its still really amazing comparative to the rest of the music industry.

No opinion on Maiden is controversial because they're so discussed and varied.

Some people can't stand Dickinson era maiden, others can't stand Di'Anno era. Others like both (Me included).

Same here. The only Maiden I can't stand is the Blaze Bayley era. I don't consider him a bad singer, just don't see him as a Maiden frontman (His live performances back then didn't help, either. Saw them once playing with him and he murdered some of the classics)

That's what happens with Iced Earth imo. I don't like the stuff with Ripper Owens, glad to have Barlow back.

Six Degrees and Octavarium are two of DT's best releases (although all their albums are incredibly solid except Falling Into Infinity)

Get either The White Album, Abbey Road or Revolver. The White Album is a good starter because it's a double album.

Back in the Village is a great tune I've never heard anyone mention it ever. Great album.

Although Brave New World is like half a nanometre behind it.

All of music (or art, of any kind) probably could be considered cheesy. It depends how you look at it.
