Controversial opinions on metal

I only really listen to Altars of Madness and Gateways to Annihilation, honestly. Heretic is okay. I like B through F, but just don't listen to them much

No love for Blessed, but love for Heretic? :erk:

I thought Erik Rutan did a great job on Gateways. That was the first Morbid Angel album I bought when I was like 14, so I got a soft spot for it. But I also like Erik Rutan. I dont get the hate.

Speaking of which, Hate Eternal, not sure why they get so much baggage either. Havnt really payed much attention to em after Kings, but I thought their first two albums were solid slabs of Death Metal.

Being a an ex grindcore fanatic, that nonstop aggression hits a sweet spot with me.

Oh ok, now I get the B through F comment...

Blessed through Formulas...
Haha, yeah I was just being lazy.

I still love a lot of grindcore, and constant aggression is great. But there's an empty sameness to a lot of HE's stuff is all.

Why even people care about them so much ^

Don't give a shit for Disturbed but David Draiman's voice is simply magical.

Edit: not sure if controversial or metal-related.. but yeah.

He's alright, especially for the material. I don't know he gets shit on for his excessive yarling when guys like Tim Aymar get sucked off.

^ that and he deserves to get shit on for the yarlings anyway.
I just try to see past his work with Disturbed. What I'm saying is he has a lot of potential.
