I used to really enjoy Skeletonwitch (or at least, Beyond the Permafrost), but they have lost their novelty over time. They are a fucking mint live band though.

I'm not sure how thrash metal can have a "heavy dose" of black metal and not be at least mentioned as black thrash but whatever.

How about calling their music feeble, soulless and lacking any type of staying power or drive? That's what I would consider to be the fancy way of saying essentially the same thing and it sums up my opinion of their music.
