Controversial opinions on metal

This is possibly the dumbest disagreement I've ever been engaged in. I really don't know how you aren't getting this.

Its dumb because I never intended this to be an argument in the first place. You went out of your way to debate me on something I never cared about in the first place. You wasted your time and I wasted my time.
 
So it's not something specific to thrash but instead applies to basically all metal bands? Making an exception for some of the most important trad bands, I would then agree.

I think it's inherent to death/black (but not atmospheric)/thrash..wouldn't say epic/heavy/trad(including NWOBHM)/doom include these 'traits'
 
I can't help myself, when people say incredibly stupid things.
I don't see why it's so stupid but at least H.P. Lovecraft gave a real reasoning for the seperation. Still all I meant was I don't really like the idea of seperating bands based on country not that you couldn't do it or there isn't reason to do it.
