Songs on the new Obituary are fantastic but too short. In some ways it feels like a sampler/preview of itself. Still love the album.

If you're left wanting more then they've done their job correctly imo

I can understand why people don't like Sean Killian and in many ways I think Eternal Nightmare is held back from being as truly great as it should be by his style, but I like it and think it gives the band a unique sound or whatever.

Also I listen to a lot of crossover and hardcore so it doesn't sound that out of place to me.

there is no Eternal Nightmare without Killian's vox .... and while the riffs are what comes first and foremost as far as Vio-Lence goes, he is without a doubt one of the defining aspects of the band. Wouldn't even wanna imagine what those albums would sound like with another vocalist.

edit: and Mustaine is actually a pretty good thrash vocalist.

Sean Killian's mad babbling is definitely one of the highlights of Eternal Nightmare.

Worst bigger-name vocalist in thrash is probably Mille Petrozza post-Pleasure to Kill.
