Controversial opinions on metal

It's okay. You have POSSIBLY the worst taste here, so it doesn't bother me that you dislike them.

Is there some sort of unwritten rule that people here have to act like babies about other peoples taste? Dude, it's cool that you like the band, can you just live with the fact that someone may not like something without having to be snide about it? As for me having the worst taste, fuck it: judge for yourself.

If you don't like things on there, cool by me, I could care less. If you do like stuff on there, cheers.

No, they're a progressive band and have like one song that has any power metal to it. Really a great band if you want something unique and with possibly the best vocalist in music today, but people here have something against them for whatever reason.

Pain of Salvation is trash... sounds like that stupid alternative shit.

Your general attitude speaks more for your mental age than your physical age does.

What attitude? I haven't shown any attitude on here, man. Quite clearly it's more adult to say shit like "Texas needs to be nuked until it's a sheet of glass" and to get all butthurt and throw out insults because I didn't agree with you (not even in an insulting manner) on a band or two. I haven't made enough posts or even interacted with you enough for you to know a single thing about my overall attitude.

You HAVE to be joking, right? Anyways, enough of this lame shit, let's get back to talking metal.

What about my stating of the fact that he, today, is among the whiniest of whiny bitch vocalists?

Uh, that'd be a non-fact.

Having just watched their live performance DVD that came out this year and was taken from a show last year I can say with complete certainty that he isn't a whiny vocalist nowadays.

and lol @ thinking my texas comment was even serious

This? Judging from the track listing, he must do some serious vocal improvisation live.

The Scarsick songs are actually much better live than on disc, and his vocals through the entire show are flawless. None of those tracks have "whiny vocals" though it admittedly was a flawed setlist and I would've changed out one or two Scarsick tracks for a chance to hear Reconciliation or Fandango instead.
