They're a really shitty band overall but The Healing Process was fucking great.

I like the Angra version of Painkiller equally as much as the Judas Priest version, if not more, mainly because it was the first version I heard (goddamn mistitled downloads when I was a wee kiddie). The guitar solo quickly became my favourite thing in music. I mean the original solo is awesome and all but there's just something about the Angra one...

Yes.

Well, ok, not really, but incredibly overrated. Weak vocals, pathetically simple and repetitive riffs, aimless and overlong guitar solos... very poor compared to other 80's traditional/epic/power bands.

EDIT: Actually, Bathory sucks too. Started their career as glorified speed/thrash metal, continued and ended it as a mediocre Manowar clone.
