Why does everyone make album titles italicized?

For clarity. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish between band names and album titles, especially when they're unfamiliar. I generally go Band Name, Album Title, "Song Title".

Plus it's just proper. Album, movie, and book titles are italicized, while song and poem titles are put in between quotation marks.
