Not a fan of Portal. Even taking for granted that they are supposed to be atmospheric and texture-y and shit, I don't find the atmosphere very compelling.

Plenty of bands can create the same texture and actually have melodies/phrases/motifs in there too, so yeah, they're talentless hacks.

Yeah, their music really does come off as a pretentious, gray soup of noise that was put together without any real structure.
