beatles were great man... some of the early stuff is a bit too hokey for my tastes but they've made some excellent albums...
as far as classic rock goes these days i'd say however that zep and floyd are my favs

It's indeed very overrated.
Massacra would be also extremely overrated if they were talked about here more often. I cannot go through one track of Final Holocaust without yawning. No rhythmic captivity, no nothing. Just riffs piled one on top the other.

I agree. As is Blessed Are The Sick. In fact those two are my least favourite MA albums.

But Massacra aren't overrated, since they are so kvlt. The thing with AoM is that it isn't even MAs best. BatS is a more mature and evolved effort, with which the band reached their peak IMO.

BATS is more doomy and both better structured and better produced. But the neuter guitar tone still spoils it for me. The vocals are great, though.

I agree about BATS guitar tone...I can't get into the album because it sounds like crap. Overall I find MA highly overrated and like plenty more early death metal bands better, but they were very fuckin' influential and I comprehend that and respect it.
