Canada has Blasphemy, Conqueror, Cremation, Axis of Advance, Sacramentary Abolishment, Weapon, Revenge, Adversarial, Ouroboros, Begrime Exemious, to name a few off the top of my head. All good stuff.

This is a topic worth debating. I'd say no simply because of the way they went about it. Metallica, the record company, and their attorneys tried to put an end to all free music, which is, shall we say, draconian.

Have you heard Axis of Advance? They're conceptual war metal, and every album (except their last EP before splitting up, which is eh) they've made is sweet.

I'll look into them. Aside from Blasphemy, Conqueror and Revenge are my favorites of the style (though both sound identical probably due to having shared members).
