dark, suicidal black metal

Make a Change...Kill yourself is the best of the bunch in my opinion. I also like Wolves in the Throne room a lot. Weakling, Bilskirnir, Blodulv, Drudkh and Negura Bunget are all great too.

xcellent suggestions plaguewilder... but add leviathan, xasthur, twilight and maybe early burzum to that too and whoalaa... a super depressive cocktail...CHEERS!!!:kickass:

I often have these suicidal/killing moods aswell, and I love to listen to CARPATHIAN FOREST - I know it's more like old-school punk black or something, and it's definately NOT a good (or even technical  ) music after all... I just love how they're looking at life, and if their next CD is gonna' be called "Fuck You All!!!", then it explaines my mood completely. Their music is same.

Their older songs like "Bloodlust and perversion", "Carpathian Forest" and others are just gems...

:kickass:

early burzum and leviathan own all the other bands here. abyssic hate's 'depression' is a good example of this sort of suicidal black metal as well, but not as great. xasthur is less successful in creating this sort of atmosphere. but there are a couple tracks where it all works.
lurker of chalice is also a must. it's not really black metal, but it's as bleak as leviathan. wrest is so prolific.

I Shalt Become - Wanderings (Also the demo In The Fallen Snow, released as Birkenau, but same guy)
Silencer - Death - Pierce Me
Xasthur - The Funeral Of Being
Bethlehem - Dictius Te Necare (SUIZID is also good, and so is the first album but it's more doom)
Shining - Within Deep Dark Chambers
Strid - End Of Life
Deinonychus - Ark Of Thought (Probably more Doom, but whatever)
Leviathan - Tentacles Of Whorror
Tearstained - Monumental in its Sorrow
Weakling - Dead As Dreams
Forgotten Tomb - Songs To Leave
Mütiilation - Remains Of A Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul
Abyssic Hate - Suicidal Emotions

the idea of someone sitting in their room all depressed and listening to blackmetal strikes me as hilariously pathetic for some reason
The idea of a lame indie listening twat posting their opinion of a black metal band strikes me as hilariously pathetic.

Isn't there a floppy fringed, shit-music forum you could bore?
