I heard their first couple tracks for "Above" when it was still a side project, and I was very impressed (at least compared to what they have done lately). So, this is pretty much best news in the world for me.

Edge of Sanity was pretty hit and miss through the first four albums or so, and then all miss afterwards. Too much of the time, it sounds like Dan was trying to write death metal, but had a synthpop song bouncing around in the recesses of his brain. When it's on, it's on - total epic. When it's off, it's off - total cheese.
