Jungle Rot probably get hate because their sound is pretty mosh-oriented. They don't really try to develop an evil atmosphere or do anything complex, just knuckle-dragging chugathons. I love it, though, I've been spinning Dead and Buried and Fueled by Hatred pretty frequently over the last few weeks. Solid fucking stuff.

Getting signed to victory records didnt help their death metal image either... Really they did a good job with their remaster of Skin the Living...

Also the fact that we're just drowning in old-school death metal of every flavor. I suspect some people may see them as part of that trend the way Bloodbath sometimes get lumped in with the retro-Swedish stuff.
