Death Metal

Not a big tech death fan but that's damn good. Really like the production, the drums stand out but aren't overwhelming. and yea the vocals are perfect for the music, like a post apocalyptic machine

I feel so strange venturing out of the BM thread...got a two parter...

1) Is anything The Haunted have done recently worthwhile? I loved Made Me Do It, but wasn't a fan of One Kill Wonder or Revolver. Is The Dead Eye, Versus, Unseen, or Exit Wounds any good?

2) What's some good slower paced DM with a bit of atmosphere? Such as Nile's Wrought, Unas, or To Dream of Ur.

Asphyx `The Rack is one of my favorites, the album has atmosphere. It is not slow always. It varies in tempo's.

That also makes them one of the best live bands of all time, I'm 100% convinced. Asphyx has a tried-and-true formula to writing songs that bring the absolute retardation if you're even moderately close to the front row. Having seen them 3 times, I can safely say that even though I don't quite listen to them as much as I should, whenever they play MDF, they destroy. So heavy, catchy and headbang-worthy. I also love MVD's between-song banter.
