I can barely help you as I've been ignoring Death Metal for the last few months, but the new Incantation is fairly solid, and there's a new Gorgasm album tomorrow.

The new Gorgasm has been leaked and it's the best Brutal Death Metal album since Passages into Deformity.

Haha, well I never listen to that album, I'm going to listen to it after The Holy Empire. I usually listen to the new one, Vanquish in Vengeance, Mortal Throne of Nazarene and Diabolical Conquest. I think I actually listened to it a couple weeks ago, I'm not sure. Obviously I can't read.

Weird. That's one of those albums I figured everyone here knows front to back and back to front and then sideways a little. Then try to slip it in the back, but she's classy and we all know I'm a misogynistic pig so I have to prove I care a bit before she takes a butt secks.


Wait...I guess I'm just saying that's a damn good album.

definitely their masterpiece.

the early stuff has the same arcane, mystical feel but the songwriting is all over the place, the later stuff has accomplished songwriting but is increasingly more derivative, streamlined and predictable (comparatively - it's still excellent of course).

DEATHCULT has the best of both worlds; the compositions are weird and wild yet fluid, it brings the headbanging riffs and the unintuitive, wandering melodies... everything comes together here. i love the chasm and every time something new comes along i'm mega excited, but i have to say that everything those albums do well, this album does even better.

I think I prefer Procession to the Infraworld but only slightly. It retains the same appeal as Deathcult... but more to-the-point and less meandering.
