Did you know that Stalin did not ban the use of Baltic national languages in school when trying to consolidate the Soviet Empire? If you were a dictator, wouldn't you think twice about letting people express their identity - separate from the one you want to impose - with such a powerful tool? Some Soviet kids had their exams in Russian, some others in Estonian or Latvian or Lithuanian, and bubu knows about the Asian states. It's weird.

Did you know that asbesto was a predatory mammal that lived in northern Canada. It was a distant cousin of badger, but became extinct after the Hollywood-filmmakers started using asbesto-fur (renowned for it's shiny white colour) for fake snow. The last asbesto died in the Royal British Zoo in 1983. An adult male asbesto could grow over 70cm long (tail not included) and could weigh as much as 50kg.

Asbestos is a naturally occuring fiber that is very fire proof. They used it in everything, from floor tile to gloves. Too bad if you get even one fiber of it in your lungs it can cause cancer.

It's been highly suspected of causing serious health problems, like cancer. The fact is that this still actually hasn't been proven ..but! I sure as hell believe it's some of the worst stuff among us, since it was widely used as insulation in all sorts of buildings ..and now with age the asbestos is being exposed to the interiors, and it definitely is pretty bad for your health one way or another.
