Does Folk/Black metal get better than Windir?

Having digested their discography, I've become possessed by the notion that Windir is the greatest of this genre.

Please convince me wrong by recommending a band(pref. a specific album)

Even the weakest Windir songs slay anything released by Nokturnal Mortum.

Windir has a feeling no other band has. One of my fave BM bands for sure!

Windir are so overrated it's unbelievable. I think they're average at best, personally. And Nokturnal Mortum actually do piss all over Windir.

"Arntor" has a handful of majestic songs, apart from that Windir fails to impress me. They're good but hardly OMGbestevar. Moonsorrow's "Verisäkeet" craps on anything Windir has ever produced, for instead. Or try fetching samples of bands like Ancalagon, Heol Telwen, Geist, Helrunar... hell, even Manegarm is better than Windir!

I like Windir, but I agree Nokturnal Mortum and Asmegin are better.

If you are, you can turn them off in your preferences. I did so *years* ago and I always cringe when I'm browsing this place at school when I'm logged in and I have to scroll past giant images constantly. I don't know how anyone could live like that!
