Doom Metal

Well, I'm not a big fan of Doom Metal, but I'm trying a few bands. Iused to listen to Candlemass before, but nothing new or different (still waiting to get thei last one). So far, so good.

Orange Goblin and Reverend Bizarre sound fucking great.

Bought two Reverend Bizarre albums, and loved them (Harbinger of Metal and In te Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend).

What else should I try?

Try listening to:
Pagan Altar, Iron Man, St Vitus, Pentagram, Trouble, Cirith Ungol, Revelation, Solitude Aeturnus, The Gates of Slumber, Cathedral, Pale Divine, Witchfinder General, Orodruin, Ogre, etc. etc.

A random group, but some of my favorites.

Thanks man, that list will keep me busy for some time. Cathedral sounds good. Not sure about The Gates, though (vocals). I'll try listening again.

Pagan Altar's vocalist literally gives me a headache.

I personally completely turn off the 3Ks on equalizer when listening to them (not on vinyl, it's somewhat better there), because that's the ear-raping part of him, and he's too fucking much in the mix. Try it.

The rest of your list houses some of my favorites though. ;)

His high parts are what make me cringe... the rest isnt bad at all... so maybe this is worth a try.
