I'm covered up with 4 different builds at the moment - so this thread will probably not see the same sort of detailed updates as the last - but I figure I'll hit as much of the big stuff as possible.

He is going with a mahogany body, maple neck with a birdseye maple fretboard, black binding, abalone offset dots, Tonepros TOM bridge, EMG pickups, and Sperzel locking tuners.

Here is the progress so far, a body, a laminated neck blank, and a slotted fretboard:

The birdseye on this board looks amazing...the picture doesn't do it justice.
(The neck itself is pretty sick too!)

Oh yeah....and one of those 4 builds is for me, so I'll sneak in a quick shot. It'll probably take me forever to finish it, but here is the body - mahogany with a quilted maple top. It's getting a one piece mahogany neck and a ziricote fretboard which is there in the foreground:

More updates soon.

Apologies to Jeff for having to wait so long for the updates.

But we've taken a step back and decided to go with a figured top. :headbang:

Here is what's been eating all my time:

Jeff's guitar is going to be similar, but it's getting a birdseye maple board and green stain. Gonne be sexy!
