So I'm working a job where I have loads of time to listen to music and I'm wondering what some good 2-disc albums are. I'll start things off with a few:

Ayreon - The Human Equation
Dream Theater - Six Degrees
Horna - Sanojesi Äärelle

Also, Blood Duster had an album called Lyden Nå which was different genre on each cd IIRC.

Thing is there REALLY aren't that many of these, and it appears that the majority of those that are there are more doom/prog oriented. Which makes sense, I suppose. Looking up "metal double albums" yields the same half dozen or so results every time. Esoteric, Therion, Fireax, Dream Theater.

Also, Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer/Natasha

I'm not sure this counts. They aren't really cohesive work, more like P:rofl:x made Terrifyer and then slapped on Natasha as a bonus disc.

I was having a similar conundrum as to whether or not you could call Opeth's Damnation/Deliverance combo a double album. Released separately, but absolutely one thing.
