Favorite All-time Guitar Solo

Jeff far surpases players like Michael Angelo Batio and Yngwie, in my opinion. Because not only is he a supreme shredder, but unlike them he's a very great songwriter.
haha yeah.. yngwie cant write lyrics for shit EDIT: "Bullet through your head...NOW YOUR DEAAD!".. but his solos are wicked.. same with satriani, petrucci, eddie v.h...jimmy page.. peter.. mikael.. so many great guitarists with great solos...

Death - Trapped In A Corner
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Symphony X - Sea of Lies

And plenty more.

Well kirks talents are just...E Pentatonic...it isn't that difficult, he can shred tho, but hes not that special.

I really like Mike's solo from A Fair Judgement, from the clean part. Its so intense.

Oh how could I forget
[Gary Moore] Thin Lizzy - Black Rose
That whole song is guitar mayhem!

OPETH - A FAIR JUDGEMENT
OPETH - TO RID THE DISEASE

ARCH ENEMY - BURY ME AN ANGEL
ARCH ENEMY - COSMIC RETRIBUTION
ARCH ENEMY - RAVENOUS

CARCASS - HEARTWORK

MEGADETH - TRAIN OF CONSEQUENCES

JUDAS PRIEST - PAINKILLER

THE HAUNTED - ALL AGAINST ALL

WELL, NOT ALL VERY VERY TECHNICAL, BUT I LOVE THIS SOLOS... MAKES ME FEEL GREAT... EUPHORIC

The ones that immediately come to mind for me are the solo in Crazy Train (Randy Rhoads, I think? My Ozzy/Sabbath knowledge is very limited) and Zakk Wylde's solo on Mr. Crowley on the Live and Loud DVD.

Also, Stairway to Heaven, of course.

There's so many great solos out there, its hard to choose just one, but the one that sticks out the most in my mind is Guns n Roses' "November Rain."

When i saw the thread that is exactly the one that came to my mind. Slash has done some of the best solos ever IMO. GnR is the first band i really got into when i was a child.
