VIII had those ridiculesly long Guardian Force scenes during the battles. It made the game too tedious to play for me, as I remember I couldnt fast forward or skip them. I gave up about 3/4ths through the game. After VII it was downhill from there to me.
i definitely remember skipping those scenes haha
I really liked VIII alot. It was the last FF game i truly enjoyed

X is actually a close second to VII for me, well sort of close second

7. I've beaten it six times, but I've never been able to bring myself to beat any of the others. I got to Bahamut in number 8 then got stuck, I got to Jecht in number 10 and got bored, and I played through like three quarters of 12 and got so fucking bored I don't even remember any of it. 7!!!

You people really need to go back and play the ones before VII... VI and IV are both fucking great games, as good if not better in certain respects. IIIj and V had great class systems. I and II are a little hard to get into, but still good games.

7, 9, 12, 10 for me. I've always been anti 8 for some reason. I refuse to play it. I was too into 7 when 8 came out and i was pissed they took out materia.
Yes, materia was gold. What a blast I've had beating the Wu Tai tower with Yuffie... where you have to arrange your materia differently for each boss. FUN!

Chrono Cross? I tried finishing it but found it a lot more boring than Chrono Trigger. I did get quite close to the end though, might've been the last boss actually. Still got bored and didn't finish it.
