What's your favorite SX solo?

I'd have to say I'm torn between a few. Masquerade and the first real solo in the Odyssey are waaaay up there for me.


Buuut you can only pick one so, probably Masquerade.

Accolade II guitar solo

Maquerade solo

The Odyssey solos!

Eve Of Seduction solo

Through The Looking Glass (live on the edge of forever) solo

And many others.

Masquerade is very "un-romeo" kind of solo. But it's still great! Naturally they are all great, but I gotta say, when someone mentions "solo" and "Michael Romeo" in the same sentence, I immediately think the solo from Egypt. I love it!

Hard question. Don't know if any of you would agree but the first thing I thought of was the section in Seven. Basically it's a solo section between the guitar and bass from 4:10-5:20. Pretty wicked if you ask me.

Accolade II is probably my favorite Romeo solo. I also like the first one in Divine Wings (the insane one) and In the Dragon's Den.

As for Pinnella (whom everyone forgot), I would say Awakenings, Candlelight Fantasia, and various solos from The Odyssey.

I like the unisons (where they both play) the best, though. Examples would be Fallen, Set the World on Fire, Masquerade, A Fool's Paradise, and Through the Looking Glass.

Yeah the one in Egypt too. I guess I'm a sucker for the bass solos along with the guitar.

Of Sins and Shadows is my fav for pure craziness. DOAMS is crazy but I don't like parts of it.
