Probably my favourite Female fronted band of all time. Mourn. As far as I know, they did one album on Rise Above, and a further track on the Dark Passages 2 compilation. Awesome female fronted traditional doom in the vein of, say, The Obsessed.

As for more modern bands ? Hmmmmmmm. I'm kind of partial to Landmine Marathon and their unashamed early Earache worship.
