Give me classical music tips

Yeah, that Cage piece is very well known. Probably his most well known and controversial. Cage had some pretty interesting ideas about sound/music....but I'd call it sound. I get it and all, but I wouldn't call it music. Something about chance music or some shit like that. Pseudo-intellectual pretentious bologna as far as Im concerned. You want "chance music?" Listen to some free/pure improv jazz.

Rather interesting stuff reading about him (and I agree with your points as well) but at the same time a lot of music today that some might classify as “noise” or “not music” to certain ears can be owed to Cage’s early experimentation.

Well, yeah. I wouldn't argue that entirely. It's just not what I would choose to listen to...or should I say hear? It's more like a Zen exercise on awareness, which I'm always down for; just not when I choose to listen to tunes.

A lot of people would even call what I listen to mostly noise tbh. But I'd venture to say that it's more of a conditioning thing; kinda different.

With that said, give me expression any day of the week.

hahaha ... was just listening to this with my headphones on and also boiling water in the kitchen
