Nope. Classical folks are essentially old/rich/educated (?) folks and there is no doubt that the market as we know it, is doomed.
I think that if music is to survive (all music that is), the decline of the physical support will benefit to modern creation, new live shows and new ways of sharing the experience.
The main problem is that people think it's not for them essentially.
In Paris, if you're under 28 you can get 9€ tickets for ALL gigs of a season if you book at least 5. And then you have lossless formats like FLAC, APE and so on : perfect sound quality for free - if you feel like saving money on CDs. You need good speakers though

the only piece of "classical" (quotations because its actually contemporary) music I've ever really gotten into is Gorecki's Symphony No. 3. It's so emotional, particularly the first movement. Any recommendations based on that?
